Glossary of Terms

Below is a list of some frequently used terms that may be unfamiliar. As you attend our classes, workshops or seminars if you discover other terms that you would like to see defined, please let us know so we can add them.

Blind Spot – What Is A Blind Spot?

Similar to driving in a car, a blind spot can prevent you from seeing oncoming danger. If you can’t see potential danger, you are then unable to protect yourself from it, or remove it altogether. Likewise if you can’t see the awesome opportunities ahead, then you can’t experience them either! Blind spots can hide the good stuff too!

Choice Point – What Is A Choice Point?

When decisions need to be made in your life – you are at choice points. These are poignant opportunities for assessment because they will alter the direction and course you travel. These decisions and choices are always up to the individual. As beings with free will, Spirit will not intervene to decide for you. Hence, questions like “What should I do?” “What am I supposed to do?” or “What do you want me to do?” will not receive answers – as YOU are the one who determines what YOU WANT!

Divine Self – What Does It Mean To Be My Divine Self?

The Divine Self is the truest essence of who you are. It is the core of you that is eternally connected to Source, what some might call Spirit. Through this energy connection, you have access to extraordinary wisdom, love and knowledge.

Lens – What Does It Mean To Look Through My Lens?

Most people are unaware of the lens they look through to perceive life’s experiences. Because the unconscious mind affects how you see, process and understand events, your beliefs will reinforce what you see. Even if something contrary is occurring, your lens will not perceive it, whereby creating blind spots.

Magnamous – What Does It Mean To Be My Magnamous Self?

For those who aren’t familiar with the word, “Magnamous” is The Guides’ new word for a more expanded version of self, one that is beyond our imagination. It’s not a typo for magnanimous, The Guides intended to alter the word because the Latin roots of Magnamous –  translate into “Great Love.”

To be your Magnamous Self means that you are the fullest expression of Love that you are capable of being.

 Percolate – Why Percolate?

When we begin to process our human emotions, they may feel unpredictable, ever changing and beyond our control – but this process is our mind percolating.

Much like the percolator coffee pot bubbles, boils and moves the grains in many unpredictable ways until it finishes brewing, our emotions are bubbling, boiling and moving in ways they never did before – which is exactly what is needed.

We need to process in new ways instead of the old, routine, predictable and unchanging ways. The old way might have brought us where we are – but it is not going to take us where we want to go.

Revisit – What Does It Mean To Revisit Something?

Many people misinterpret this concept incorrectly believing they have gone backwards in some way. When you are moving forward any obstacles that remain with you must present themselves because they are in the way of your progress. At these times, most often there is a revisiting of old emotional issues that you believe have already been released.

When this occurs you are revisiting another viewpoint or layer of your own healing – or as we like to say, you are delving deeper into yourself. We cannot always grow by giant leaps and bounds, instead we peel away layers revisiting issues with the new information that has been acquired and then we move forward.

“Snow-Globed” – It Is Time to Shake Up Your Old Beliefs and Belief Systems

“Snow-globed” that’s the fun term we use around here. As new perspectives, possibilities and ideas are offered, you may feel your old belief systems shaken up, much like a snow-globe. By shaking everything up we allow emotions and beliefs to settle in a new way.

Once you experience it – you will understand exactly what we mean!

The Guides – Who Are They?

The Guides are a stream of consciousness of Love, Wisdom and Enlightenment. We lovingly call them The Guides because while they are energy beings like Angels, Archangels, Ascended Masters, Saints, Goddesses, etc, they are not individual Beings. Instead the energy vibration of The Guides functions as a collective of energies with varying areas of expertise.

The Guides’ specialty is the things “You Don’t Know You Don’t Know.” And boy does that cover a lot of territory! Unlike the things we know or even realize we do not know, the category of things “You Don’t Know You Don’t Know” opens up all of our blind spots. Recognizing your blind spots is vital!

White Papers – Why Do You Call Them White Papers?

Our series of The Guides White Papers™ are power packed teachings with exercises, in a workbook style. These mini-books may appear small, but their impact is potent indeed. The Guides asked that we call these White Papers because in our world, white papers are authoritative reports that provide information about a specific issue or topic.
