A New Information Age: Self-Knowledge

A New Information Age: Self-Knowledge

Self-KnowledgeThere sure are exciting times ahead for all of Humanity as we move forward into a New Information Age. And when we say New Information Age, we specifically mean receiving more and new information from yourself. “Self-Knowledge” – so you are better equipped to handle day to day living.

Have you noticed more soul focus in the last few months? Perhaps it’s because we are working with Christi and Pete to clarify and simplify the tools and techniques for Humanity. That means more teachings will be Do It Yourself, because you can.

The key however, is learning what it means to do something for yourself versus expecting someone else to do it for you.

Sure life as a human being can feel difficult, but even harder is expecting something or someone outside yourself to create the changes for yourself that you want to experience. Sorry, folks – it ain’t gonna happen. You have to be willing to take action on your own behalf, to engage in your own life, and take action to turn the new path into your new reality. So how do you get there?

Using Self-Knowledge

How to Get From Where I Am… To Where I  Want To Be Technique:

  1. Identify
  2. Clarify
  3. Prioritize
  4. Choose
  5. Take action

Step 1: Identify What You Do Not Want

This means you have to be really honest and authentic with yourself about what isn’t making you happy, what is limiting you and what is not adding joy.

HINT:  Don’t worry this is the easy part, even though most people don’t want to look at it. We say that with love because when you aren’t willing to look at what isn’t working – you really aren’t willing to do anything about it.

Step 2: Clarify What About It You Do Not Want

Ok, this is getting into the nitty gritty. When someone isn’t where they want to be, it’s usually because they lack clarity about what they don’t want and are afraid of the truth. Sometimes people think by recognizing the truth, it means they are focusing on the negative.

Reality Check: IF you aren’t honest with yourself about what you don’t want how can you be sure to avoid it as you go forward? You might accidentally run straight toward it because you didn’t rule it out.

Step 3: Prioritize

Look at your list and give each item a priority number. Which ones are the most important to you? What changes can you wait for? What do you have to have now?

Step 4: Choose

Choose only one item on your list. Yes, just one! Please don’t attempt being an overachiever by trying to change everything all at once. That is a certain path toward self-sabotage. Instead, select one item and think about what you want that area to include? Did you choose improvements in a relationship? Maybe a job change? Perhaps you want a new car?

Once Asking Questionsyou choose your top priority – you have to switch gears and begin the imagination phase. This second aspect is essential because it means you are choosing how to define the item you want on your terms. So, in your ideal world how would this area of life actually be? What would your improved relationship, job or car include? Those details will guide you forward.

Step 5: Take Action

Create an action plan. What do you need to be doing differently for yourself, with yourself, and inside yourself to allow you to receive an improved relationship, job or car? Whenever there is a desire for something more, there is also a release of what has been “normal.” This means inside you is a new desire and an opening for what can be – a new normal. That’s where you gotta focus.

HINT: And be certain to avoid taking action that matched anything from step 1 or 2 – those are now your red flags. Since you identified what you don’t want, these are the best clues about what trapped you in the past. Use them as a guide forward into new territory and as a clue as to what to avoid.

Bonus Step: Support & Inspiration

Spirit Supporting YOURemember to provide yourself with positive reinforcement. “Self, you can do it!” “Self, you are doing a great job!” And of course, allow us – your trusty Spirit Guides- to provide you with inspiration as you embark on the next phase of your journey.

You don’t have to go it alone, but you do have to do it for yourself.
